A little help for your next chapter.

Updated:

FOLUVRA is a free web reading demo. You can use it without an account on a phone, tablet or desktop. Your library belongs to this browser profile: books and notes are saved locally, not synced to another device.

How do I open a book?

  1. Open the app and choose Import EPUB in My library. Select an unencrypted EPUB file, up to 25 MB.
  2. Or choose Discover and add a title from the opening collection.
  3. Use the chapter selector and previous/next controls. Your reading position is saved automatically in this browser.

The demo supports EPUB 2/3 text, chapters and supported local images. It does not remove DRM or reproduce every publisher layout. PDF, OCR, mathematical notation and original complex tables are not supported in this release.

How do notes and One/Duo views work?

Choose the note action while reading to connect a note to that passage. You can type, draw and return to its source. My notebooks also offers independent notes. The One/Duo selector changes the web layout: One uses one reading area; Duo can display two reading areas or a source alongside a note. These are software views, not proof of physical hardware.

Watch the save status. If saving fails, keep the tab open and use Retry or export a backup before closing. Opening another editing tab can show a lock message to prevent conflicting writes.

How do I protect or move my library?

  1. Open My data and choose the complete-backup action. Keep the downloaded ZIP somewhere separate from browser storage.
  2. On another device, open the same FOLUVRA app and restore that ZIP from My data. The restore combines records while preserving existing content and preferences.
  3. For notes only, My notebooks provides a separate JSON export and restore. That file is not a complete book-and-audio backup.

Browser data can be cleared or evicted. Requesting persistent storage may help, but the browser can decline. Export regularly, and keep your original book and audio files. There is no automatic cloud backup or cross-device sync.

Can I install it and read offline?

Open the app online first and wait until it reports that offline use is ready. Imported books and the cached collection can then be opened without a connection in the same browser profile. An external source website still needs the internet.

On iPhone or iPad, use Safari’s Share menu and Add to Home Screen. On a supported Android or desktop browser, use its install option. Installation menus depend on your browser. This is an installable web app; there is no released FOLUVRA App Store or Play Store binary.

When connected, the app checks for new web releases. It saves pending work before applying an update. An offline or closed installation cannot receive a release immediately. Device firmware and future native app changes can require different update procedures.

Which languages and voices are available?

The interface supports Turkish, English, German, French, Spanish and Arabic, including a right-to-left Arabic layout. Your saved language choice takes priority. A new reader can start in a supported link or browser language; unsupported languages fall back to English. Interface translation does not translate an imported book.

Read-aloud uses a local browser or operating-system voice matching the book’s language. If none is available, the app tells you to check your device’s voice packs. Voice quality and offline availability depend on the device; FOLUVRA does not promise a voice in every language. You can also import your own audio files and resume their saved listening position.

May I use the included books anywhere?

The collection contains six complete English classics sourced from Project Gutenberg and four new Turkish stories written with AI assistance. Each card includes source and rights information. Public-domain status can differ by country, edition, translation, illustration or recording. There is no blanket worldwide licence guarantee. Read the content rights notice and the specific source before redistributing a work.

Can I buy a FOLUVRA device?

Not yet. FOLUVRA One and FOLUVRA Duo are at the pre-prototype stage. There is no working physical FOLUVRA device, completed institutional pilot or certified production design. One is a planned single-screen E-Ink learning device; Duo is a planned book-like dual-screen workspace.

The web demo, product definition and preliminary engineering plans are available today. The next hardware milestone is building and testing the first functional One prototype. Battery life, handwriting performance, final components, pricing and manufacturing readiness remain to be validated. School management and publisher integrations are longer-term plans.

FOLUVRA is founded by Barış Furkan Koyuncu in Konya, Türkiye. Read the English investor overview for the project direction and current stage.
